When to see a doctor?

Severe or Persistent Symptoms

If you experience severe or persistent symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe abdominal pain, prolonged fever, unexplained weight loss, or neurological changes, it's essential to seek medical attention promptly.

Chronic Health Conditions

If you have a chronic health condition such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, arthritis, or any other ongoing medical issue, regular check-ups with your doctor are important to monitor your condition, adjust treatment plans, and prevent complications.

Routine Screenings and Preventive Care

Regular check-ups and screenings for conditions such as cancer (e.g., mammograms, colonoscopies), heart disease (e.g., blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings), and vaccinations are crucial for early detection, prevention, and maintaining overall health.

Medication Management

If you're taking prescription medications, it's essential to see your doctor regularly for medication management, including monitoring for side effects, adjusting dosages as needed, and reviewing potential drug interactions.

Women's Health Issues

Women should see their doctor for routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and discussions about contraception, family planning, and menopause-related concerns.

Pregnancy and Fertility

If you're planning to conceive, pregnant, or experiencing fertility issues, consulting with an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) or fertility specialist is important for prenatal care, fertility evaluation, and reproductive health management.

Children's Health

Parents should ensure their children receive regular well-child visits and vaccinations according to the recommended schedule. Additionally, seek medical attention promptly for childhood illnesses, injuries, developmental concerns, or behavioral issues.
